Biography

I am a self-taught fine art film photographer from Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  Borrowing the style of the New Topographic photographers of the 70s, my work focuses on the banality and alienation of modern day American life.  Utilizing a nostalgic style, I photograph scenes that often show the decay and isolation that once iconic Americana style landscapes now sit in as a way to not only document the fading idealism of America, but also call in to question what it was about these places originally that made them so desirable, and in so doing, call our desire for nostalgia as a whole in to question.
