Jacob Schlather is a visual artist and software engineer, living and working remotely in Los Angeles. He was born in the American South, grew up in the Midwest, spent a few years on the east coast and is slowly finding his inner desert nomad in California. After dropping out of a PhD program in mathematics and becoming a programmer, Jacob started taking photos in his spare time, intent of becoming a filmmaker. He made a few short films, but realized that he didn’t care so much about medium and has focused on expressing himself and his ideas in photo based works.
