Xavier Rodriguez's statement
“The other day I found Atlantis. It is a place with narrow streets, the smell of the sea and the houses painted in all colors. An inhabitant told me that it is said that this is the case because before the paint was used to spare the boats and with the passage of time it became a habit.”
“Urb-vanities, urban landscapes”
I usually look for my images in common places, industrial estates, ports, urban suburbs … spaces close to Marc Augé’s concept of no-place, but which are full of humanity, identity and character.
Going through these spaces I feel like a juggler playing with lines, colors, shadows and textures, making them turn until creating something different… with an order.
